We’re ready to make the most of this summer. And that means more sunshine, more activity, and more fun! To do that, we need the ultimate products for protection and comfort. And we’ve got them! Here are our 4 must have products for a care free summer…

HYDRAMEMORY CREAM GEL

Moisturizer is pretty much the holy grail of skincare products. It keeps the skin healthy & hydrated but most importantly, it reduces all other skin problems. That’s right ladies… regularly moisturizing can literally keep you looking younger. It fights the appearance or wrinkles and helps the skin stay young (We don’t know about you but we’re already sold).

While the summer time is full of fun – the extra months of sun, chlorine, and other harsh elements are not so fun for your skin. Welcome – HYDRAMEMORY CREAM GEL. This little pot of gold is a light and hydrating savior for your skin. We love this moisturizer for the summer because it is a gel base rather than a cream. This makes it lighter on the skin which is perfect for the heat of summer.

PRO TIP – when you’ve stayed out in the sun a little too long and have some tender / sunburned (YIKES!) skin, pop this moisturizer in the freezer for a bit to get it extra chilly then apply it to your face. It’s extra soothing and healing.

SU MILK

Spending a day in the pool and sun is all fun and games until your hair gets seriously hurt. You might not notice it immediately, but the damage is there. After prolonged exposure to the sun and chlorine your hair will become dry, the color will fade, and it will begin to break off. We don’t know about you, but we’d like to pass on all of those.

To save you from all of that damage, and more, we recommend the SU MILK. This is a leave in softening milk that is full of UV protection, color protection, and intense hydration. It helps keep the hair soft, healthy, and desirable.

TINTED MOISTURIZER

Let’s be real for a minute… no one really wants to wear a heavy full face of makeup in the dead of July. It’s hot and sticky and all around uncomfortable. That’s why we’re obessesd (with a capital O) with the Youngblood cosmetics tinted moisturizer. It offers light coverage and a hint of color while feeling completely sheer on the skin. Basically, everything you could ask for of a summer makeup. A little goes a long way with this product - two pumps can cover the whole face.

PRO TIP - If you desire a little extra coverage this product mixes well with the CC-Primer. Together the two give a flawless finish that is almost unnoticeable on the skin.

TANNING MOUSSE

We’ve all heard it before, prolonged sun exposure is bad for us. And that’s the truth! It’s bad for your skin, it’s bad for your hair, it’s bad bad BAD PERIOD. And that’s why we live for this tanning mousse all summer long. It gives a beautiful sunkissed glow to the skin with none of the bad.

PRO TIP – exfoliate the skin before applying and use the tanning mitt for an even tan all over.

We can all agree the 2010’s brought us some seriously amazing things. From the launch of the first ipad to Leonardo DiCaprio finally winning an Oscar (come on it was a big deal and we just love him). This past decade has been one for the record books.

But what about the past 10 years in beauty?! Love it or hate it, looking back at all of the amazing (and sometimes cringy) trends we rocked over the decade is far easier with the rise of social media. Some of these trends will make you laugh, some may make you cry, and some we are still rocking today – with maybe a few updates. Nothing got to the hearts of so many over the past 10 years quite like the EXTREME SWOOP BANG (and the royal weddings- because who doesn’t love a princess). The swoop bang was one of the hottest looks of the early 2010’s. It was a right of passage; the hottest hair on the market, and a staple for so many. It was just what its name described. A very large section of bangs, swooped strategically across the face. Although the swoop bang has lost some of its popularity over the years, it did give us all a deep respect for bangs- and the magic they can work for those ready to give them a chance.

And let us not forget the swoop bang hybrid – the COLORED SWOOP BANG – where people would put special highlights in their bangs for an added bit of flare.

Next up, we have the POOF. Made famous by the pop culture icon that is Nicole LaValle, that’s right everyone… we’re talking about the one and only SNOOKI! Although it came in many shapes and sizes, the poof was a staple of the 2010’s. It was stylish, and a practical way to keep your hair out of your face.

The poof was a powerful force in the hair world and it lives on today in the ever popular HUN hairstyle that is still so popular. Maybe the 2020’s will bring an end to this look, but if we were going to bet on it, we’d put our money on the poof living on in some form.

Nothing says 2010’s beauty quite like EYEBROWS. Over the past 10 years brows have had their moment in the spotlight. We began the decade with thin, over sculpted, uncolored brows. We like to call these the dark days. If we could go back and tell our 2011 selves one thing… it would be give your brows some love.

Thankfully for everyone, towards the end of the decade brows got the respect and love they so rightly deserve. We all learned the power of a brow pencil, we stopped over plucking, and we let our brows shine.
